Royal Golf La Bagnaia is a 18-hole course designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. and fits perfectly onto 130 acres in the hills around Siena. At 6,101 metres Par 71, the architect wanted to design a suitable layout BUCA 9, 347m, PAR 4 a BUCA 15, 364m, PAR 4 BUCA 16, 323m, PAR 4 to host major events, while at the same time by using at least 5 tees for each hole, making it especially pleasant for less experienced players too. Ample fairways and greens well protected by deep shaped bunkers, with large areas of ‘native’ rough make this one of the best ‘inland links’ in Europe. The Clubhouse is derived from the grand restoration of two houses on the hill and, uniquely, overlooks all 18 holes. An open air driving range with over 60 places, playing the length of 300 metres, is designed with target greens and bunkers. A perfect short game area with a 2-hole pitch and putt and an interesting putting green, complement a structure suitable for the full golfing experience.
